Air Packers
Air packers use blower air to move product into the valve bag. They are primarily used for granule and coarse products but also handle certain fine products, and they work with materials weighing between 20 lbs per cubic foot and over 100 lbs per cubic foot. This is the most widely used valve filler in building products and concrete.
Applications: sand, dry mix concrete, mortars, absorbent, granular minerals, fertilizer, animal feed, and salt.
Available Styles
- Plug stack design — for abrasive product that would wear out valves and gates
- Fluo design — common for dry mix concrete and mortars
- Force-flow with butterfly valve — for powders and non-abrasive products
Plug Stack Air Packers

2010 PS Plug Stack Air Packer
Built for high production of dry abrasive products. It packages powder, pelleted, or granular materials that would cause excessive wear on infeed valves or slide gates. Designed as single spout units that can be installed side by side for two, three, or four spout applications. On a multiple packer installation, spouts sit on 20 inch centers.
- Fill weight range: 20 to 110 lbs (9 to 50 kg)
- Fill rate: 4 to 12 bags per minute depending on product
- Electrical requirements: none
- Air: 1 to 1.5 cfm at 80 psi per cycle
- Mechanical scale ratio 3:1 with inverted, hardened points
- Bottom chamber fill nozzle is a quick change design, cast steel standard
- Dust collection hood and manifold standard
- All pneumatic controls for low maintenance and explosion proof operation
- Shipping weight: approximately 1,000 lbs (455 kg)
Options: automatic bag start, automatic bag discharge, casters with position locks, maintenance gate, low pressure high volume blower assemblies with silencing equipment, packer base, load cell electronic weighing with digital controls, fill tube jet sweep out.
Valve Air Packers
These two share a platform and most specifications. The difference is what they are set up to run. The 4210 goes to cement, flours, and concrete blends. The 4213 goes to pellets, seeds, and grains.

4210 Powdermatic Valve Air Packer
A valve air packer for powders and granules through to cement and concrete blends. Contacting surfaces are available in carbon steel or T304 stainless steel.
- Speeds up to 6 bags per minute
- Weight range: 25 to 110 lbs on bags
- Accuracy: plus or minus 2/10 to 4/10 of a pound on load cell models
- Air: 12 cfm at 80 psi max
- Air-operated bag clamps and tilting mechanical bag chair
- Scale-beam weighing on hardened pivot knife edges
- Positive pneumatic air controlled circuitry
- Shipping weight: 1,000 lbs
Materials: powders or granules, seeds and grains, flours, chemicals, salts, sands, cement, concrete blends.

4213 Pressurematic Air Bagger
Suited to pellets, granules, seeds and grains, chemicals, salts, and sands. Available in #304 stainless steel with food-grade welding and polish when required on all contacting surfaces.
- Speeds up to 6 bags per minute at 50 lbs
- Weight range: 25 to 110 lbs on bags
- Accuracy: plus or minus 2/10 to 4/10 of a pound on load cell models
- Air: 12 cfm at 80 psi max
- Welded tubular steel frame, mild steel contacting surfaces
- Air-operated bag clamps and tilting mechanical bag chair
- Shipping weight: 1,000 lbs
Options on both models: T304 stainless contacting surfaces, two-part urethane chemical resistant paint, highly corrosive atmosphere package, load cell weighing with preset digital controller, auto-start actuator, transition hoppers for multiple spout units, supply hoppers in most sizes, low-pressure air pump assembly.
Testing may be required to determine obtainable speeds and accuracies on your product.
Multiple Spout Installations
Single spout units install side by side where one spout cannot keep up with the line. Spouts sit on 20 inch centers, and multiple spout operator decks are available with an operator chair, empty bag racks, take away conveyor, and surge bins.
